Many Republicans are Hypocrites

I have wondered for many months now on whether I should write something like this. Considering that I am heavily considering a run for office as a Republican, one would think that writing something like this would be at the least counter intuitive. But seeing how the trends are leading up to the first primary elections of the new year, I have seen that I have no choice but to write this. I wont bother people with cliches like “No offense” or “I dont mean to offend you but”. The simple fact is that many republicans are indeed hypocrites. Ever since Barack Obama was elected President in 2009, it has been the rallying cry of “conservatives” that he is ruining America with his “Liberal Agenda” and reckless spending. Every time the President has something to say, Republicans out there are at the immediate to criticize and shoot down his efforts. Believe me, I do not support President Obama and agree that many of his efforts and that of the Democrat controlled Congress up until 2015 have led to the dire state of our government and our national debt.

However Democrats and the President are not alone to blame for this. Republicans and Republican voters have supported many establishment and long serving politicians like former speaker John Boehner, and now senate majority leader Mitch McConnell. Republicans are also responsible for the abomination that is now House Speaker Paul Ryan. Other honorable mentions for horrible republican politicians that the GOP has supported include Rep. Peter King, Senator John McCain, Senator Lindsey Graham. The GOP sure loves to talk a good game on wanting limited government and their constitutional rights back.

When it comes to actually demanding it and voting for it, they simply fall flat. The current presidential election cycle is proving no different for the GOP. The “polls” show that life long liberal Donald J Trump is leading….LEADING…. All Trump had to do is throw around phrases like “Build A Wall” and “Ban Muslims” and “Make Mexico Pay for it” and “Make America Great Again” and the GOP developed amnesia…. The Media has saved Trump alot of money by giving him all the Media Welfare that he desires by putting him in front of their cameras everyday. But enough about Trump, who else does the GOP support that doesnt represent true Conservative values? The GOP seems to like Marco Rubio even though he clearly supports Amnesty as proof with his support for the “Gang of 8” Bill. Considering the amount of vitriol thrown by the GOP at welfare recipients and elitists…One would wonder why they would support someone who misses so much work as a Senator? OF course, this might also apply to Senator Ted Cruz as well as he has only a slightly better Senate attendance record. But what cannot be ignored about Ted Cruz is that his wife works with Goldman Sachs that received a huge bailout in 2008 and he worked with the Bush family. But to me that only shows he is simply not the “outsider” that he claims to be. What grieves me more about Senator Cruz is his actions in 2015. During Senator Rand Paul’s filibuster, Cruz came on the floor to back stab Paul by whoring out the USA Freedom Act and claiming secret national security intelligence as proof that provisions of the Patriot Act need to continue swearing that this bill fixed aspects of the Patriot Act that were against the Constitution. The ultimate irony in this of course is that he believes that because HE had something to do with the bill that there would be no way whatsoever that the Federal Government wouldn’t abuse it. Then there is the TPP support that Senator Cruz worked with Mitch McConnell to get passed. He later would take to the Senate floor breaking decorum by openly calling McConnell a liar.

Just what is my point here? The point is that there is only one lone Republican in the GOP race for President in 2016 that has fought to defend the ENTIRE Bill of Rights. That has a proven fiscal and constitutional conservative record of service as an elected official. Only one candidate that does not thirst for war including the decade plus “War on Terror” which to this day continues to go undeclared. One lone republican that believes that our criminal justice system needs reforming. That you and I should get to dictate what we do and do not put inside our own bodies. That Republican is Kentucky Senator Rand Paul. Republicans are not supporting him as they should. It is becoming safer by the day to say that many republicans are not any more functionally different than their democrat counter parts.

As long as they are comfortable in their surroundings, they will continue to allow the Status Quo in DC to stand. As long as they continue to have broadband internet, satellite/cable tv, fast food, air conditioning, NFL, NCAA, MLB, NASCAR, etc., they will be very reluctant to push for any meaningful reforms and changes in the Status Quo. So while Trump has the nation fighting over who is the biggest sexist and enemy of women between him and the Clintons, Rand Paul is the adult doing his job in the US Senate of putting forth bills to prevent President Obama’s executive actions from infringing upon your second amendment rights and garnering more support for his “Audit the Fed” bill in January. Oh and he is showing up for votes and doing free eye surgeries in his free time. But yet the polls show Rand Paul struggling to stay in the top 5. BOTTOM LINE!! Republicans either need to step up to the plate and support the lone fiscal/constitutional conservative in the race, or they should resign to placing themselves on the “Bitch and Moan” bench for the next 8 years because no one else in the GOP race will be able to beat out Hillary Clinton. I stake my Twitter life on it..You can follow me @IrvinePatriot on twitter.

America's #SyrianRefugees Burden and why Democrats & Republicans wont take responsibility

Let me first say that in no way shape or form do I support the proposal by GOP Presidential candidate Donald J Trump to ban all Muslims from immigrating to the US.  I believe that our immigration system is indeed broken and that we should indeed halt immigration including the various visa programs until the federal government can overhaul the system to not only provide better background/vetting processes for any and all foreigners wishing to enter our country.  However as GOP Presidential Candidate and Senator Rand Paul has proposed that we should not have a religious test but an analytical approach that places a moratorium on all immigration from countries known to have high levels of terrorist activity.  YES, the majority of the countries would be from the Middle East.

Lets face facts here, The United States has been meddling in the affairs of the Middle East from protecting Israel to overthrowing governments in Iran to disposing of dictators from Libya to Iraq since the 1950's.  We have to be willing to first understand that in order to understand why we are being sought after by extremist groups. If we cannot come to that conclusion, then anything we do whether that be Rand Paul's sound idea or blindly destroy the very fabric of this nation by imposing a religious test for immigration will be all for nothing and only contribute to the already budding problems we face today in 2015.  Democrats AND Republicans in DC are addicted to war and both sides have come together in this unholy alliance and decided that we are to interfere in yet another middle east country.  This time Syria is the target.  Then people are surprised when our President who has made it crystal clear from the beginning of his term that he would fundamentally transform America, brings in refugees of a war that the US has not declared on but obviously has fed by providing weapons and other forms of arms to both sides of the civil war in ISIS with contradictory goals of either helping or disposing of Assad.

The average person, thanks to the fear mongering from the likes of Fox News and militant "conservative" talk radio hosts. have seen this latest wave of refugees as nothing but a threat to their way of life and the frenzy is such that they are supporting a life long liberal that wants to use fascism to ban all Muslim immigration to the United States.

The problem here is on many fronts.  For starters, the United States is 18 Trillion dollars in debt... Where is there money to take in these refugees?  You know they aren't coming with funds in tow.  Secondly, Why should tax payers be on the hook for bringing these people in who many are males of young fighting age who wouldn't even stay to protect their own homeland?  I got a bigger question, why aren't these refugees being quartered at the houses of liberals that want to welcome them into this country at the taxpayers expense with little to no scrutiny?  Why aren't the refugees being quartered at the homes of Republican neo-cons who thirst for war and are for the removal of Assad from power in Syria?  Further more, why aren't these people willing to take personal responsibility for their actions since their political ideological beliefs lead them to support actions that lead to their displacement.

There is plenty to blame on both sides of the isles for the burdens that are brought to the United States due to the influx of Syrian refugees and its a burden that will be felt for the foreseeable future.  What will NOT solve anything however, is the dismantling of our Constitutional Rights whether that be from the Liberal front in their relentless pursuit to insist that SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED means "Ok lets limit your arms capability", or whether that be from the far right wing that says "Lets Ban All Muslims", "Lets bug and raid ALL Mosques without search warrants".

#EricBolling of #FoxNews on Spying on Your Fellow Man!

Apparently if you arent willing to become neurotic paranoid borderline schizophrenic tattle tale on your fellow Americans, then Eric Bolling of Fox News believes that you are a coward and should "Stick your head in the sand".  The renewal of the policy "See Something Say Something" comes after the San Bernadino California shooting where 14 people died after some Allahua Akbar freak went on a shooting spree... The solution here isn't encouraging people to believe they will be safer if they spend their time spying on their neighbors or calling the police every time they "think" they saw something suspicious.  The solution is more people exercising ALL of their constitutional rights including their right to keep and bear arms.  But that doesn't keep the likes of Eric Bolling from attempting to play Donald Trump and appealing to the emotions of the GOP base by reminding them of a policy that was put into action soon after the 9/11 attacks 14 years ago.

As if that wasn't an asinine statement enough for the evening, he apparently didn't like it that I appropriately associated him with the Mainstream Media.  So he had this to say calling me "uninformed" for apparently not wanting to be influenced by the idiot box.

Yes by using a main stream media tactic to disengage yourself from a conversation you lost, You clearly show that you are not part of the main stream media...

"#God Isn't Fixing This" #SanBernadino Shooting

It appears that the NY Daily News believes that only coercive force of government will bring an end to the shootings in this country like the one that saw fourteen people killed in San Bernadino, California.  They featured a graphic that showed the tweets of four GOP Presidential candidates each showing condolences and prayer for the victims and their families and then in the middle in big letters "GOD ISNT FIXING THIS"  Here is my reply to that sent to their address, voicers@nydailynews.com

"There is a certain irony in posting this after the 14 people were murdered in San Bernadino, California.  The irony of course is the fact that society, our culture is what has been moving further away from God.  Society/Culture influenced by the liberal likes of your publication has encouraged nothing but Godless behavior from people.  Whether its support for Planned Parenthood and abortions in general, or the gratuitous levels of blood lust and violence in our Movies and Video games, it is institutions like yours that to this day continue to feed the culture which produces such tragedies.  It is NOT the NRA, it is NOT the Second Amendment, it is NOT GOD, that supports and breeds such culture.  The fact that you chose to feature four GOP candidate's tweets asking for prayer and then attempted to mock them by saying "God Isnt Fixing This" shows great levels of disingenuous and malicious intent to further drive society/culture away from God.  While you are indeed well within your constitutional right to publish this, you should understand that actions have consequences and there is no level of government on Earth capable of protecting you from those consequences.  This country sees incidents like this not because God doesn't care or because of a nefarious goal of the NRA to kill people with guns, but because of organizations like yours that promote hate, that sensationalize and make infamous people that commit these crimes against society and then prop up politicians that seek to exploit these incidents to further infringe upon the natural rights of individuals.  SHAME ON YOU!  I'll Pray for you to see the error of your ways.

Virgil Edwards
The Irvine Patriot."

It is most unfortunate that while the majority of Conservatives are offering up prayers and condolences to the victims, the majority of Liberals are politically posturing and blaming the likes of the NRA and the Second Amendment.

#BestBuy #BlackFriday Shenanigans

If I were to tell you that Best Buy only let 25 customers inside their huge store at a time and made everyone else wait outside in a line, would you believe me?  Well please read the letter I wrote to Best Buy's rep for my region Ryan Stanzel.

Hello Mr. Stanzel,

On the evening of November 26th 2015, Thanksgiving Day, The Best Buy located in the Hamburg Mall area of Lexington Kentucky opened its doors for the annual Black Friday Sale.  I drove 45 miles one way to this location and arrived at 7pm on purpose so that I would not have to stand outside in a long line.  It was quite surprising to see a line formed at the door AND seeing customers inside shopping.  So I approached two employees guarding the front entrance and asked them if the line was for a specific item that may have been part of the Black Friday door buster sale.  The answer I got was that they were only allowing 25 customers in the store at a time.  I found this extremely disappointing and completely against everything that has become the Black Friday shopping spirit...I mean why would a business CHOOSE to keep paying customers outside?  On a normal busy day in that Best Buy, there could be easily 50 customers roaming the establishment.  So then I snapped a couple of photos of the scene and proceeded to take to social media on Twitter and Facebook about what I had just witnessed.  It only took a few minutes for someone named "Alex" from Best Buy Support on Twitter to reply that they had no idea what was going on and asked if I talked to a manager.  I told them I spoke to two front door employees and then indicated to that support person that I had sent WKYT, the CBS affiliate in Lexington, KY, a tweet about this situation since I wasnt the only one there that was upset.  Later I found out that the Best Buy store in Lexington located off of Nicholasville Road did not use a similar policy with their customers.  So I guess my inquiry to you is, What is Best Buy prepared to do with the Manager that obviously went rogue and instituted a store capacity limit leaving many to wait needlessly outside, AND What is Best Buy prepared to do to make things right for the Customers?

Attached is the photos I took along with the corresponding tweets I had with Best Buy Support.

UPDATE:
Best Buy contacted me on Facebook and sent me this...Basically they think I should handle this myself with the Store...

#Mizzou Police Tell Students To Report Hurtful Speech

Ahhh yes, Students at the University of Missouri have been told in an email that they should report hurtful or hate speech to police.  This of course comes on the heels of cowardly moves by their former President and Chancellor to resign after a protest named Concerned Student 1950 flipped their emotional skulls upside down over some individuals spouting some racist comments and such on campus.

The University is threatening to take disciplinary action upon any individual using their freedom of speech as long as they deem it hate speech or hurtful speech..  This is in direct conflict with the First Amendment of the US Constitution which trumps University policy.  This is the sort of catalyst that can lead to attacks on Christians, Pro-Life activists, and Limited Government Supporters.  Anything that would "trigger" or cause someone to be offended and if agreed upon by the university could fall within these parameters.  This behavior by authorities can never lead to anything good.

Then you have this Debbie Wasserman Shultz look a like and wanna be that apparently teaches on campus that attempted to "get muscle" to remove reporters from an area where the protests were taking place which represents further disdain for the First Amendment freedom of the press on public property.

#BlackLivesMatter Mafia Strikes Again

The President of the University of Missouri has resigned today in response to protests from grown children who were offended by various words and imagery on campus.  Someone even went as far as to go on a hunger strike.  The shameful football team even went on strike so to speak.  The NCAA should investigate their activities to see if their absence from team activities violated regulations.  Yes Im pissed off because Im sick and tired of seeing grown ass children whining and crying about how offended they are and always playing the victim.  Universities are supposed to be for adults seeking a higher learning degree, not for overgrown children to whine and complain about being offended...Where are the cries for "Open Mindedness"?  Oh that's right, its just a disillusioned weapon in the quiver of political correctness and cultural Marxism.  The President showed great cowardice in resigning since he promoted the message that someone else is always to blame for when people are offended aka unable to control their emotions.  This continues to be the goal of the Black Lives Matter Mafia, making sure whitey pays for the actions of other people, especially if they are wealthy and/or in positions of power.

Post Kentucky Election Analysis

Now that the elections in Kentucky are finished until March of 2016, I would like to offer my analysis.  The main contest of course being for the Governor's seat.  The polling since this past May showed that Jack Conway held the lead.  This of course would cause one that took the polls to heart to be flabbergasted at what transpired last night.  Matt Bevin the Republican won convincingly.  It wasnt a landslide, but it was to the point where it couldn't even be contested.  Democrats, which usually benefit from the presence of third party candidates, are already complaining that Independent Candidate Drew Curtis cost Jack Conway the election.

As you can see, even if everyone that voted for Drew Curtis voted for Jack Conway, it still would not have been near enough to close the gap.  This is the age old and debunked argument that both parties have used to justify their continued attempts to discriminate against third party candidate challenges.

In other Kentucky election news, It was not all bad news for the Kentucky Democrat Party as Alison Lundergan Grimes keeps her seat.

Winning for the Democratic Party last night was Andy Beshear, son of exiting Governor Steve Beshear who claims he ran and won on his own merit but anyone with two brain cells to rub together would know otherwise.  This would be the tightest race of the night as Beshear would win by approximately 2200 votes.

Other than those two offices, the Kentucky GOP ran the tables with the rest of the offices.  Matt Bevin becomes only the second GOP Governor in the last 40 years.  Sixty of the last sixty-eight years in Kentucky have been under a Democrat Governor.  This begs the question, why has Kentucky seemingly made this transition toward a more conservative stance.  Typically Kentucky has voted GOP when it comes to national seats like the President, Senator, US Representative, but usually has voted Democrat when it comes to state positions.

With Governor-Elect Matt Bevin set to take control, many pundits are already spreading widespread hysteria and apocalyptic warnings about the actions Matt Bevin wants to take.  They are already warning users of KYNECT, the state instituted healthcare exchange, that Bevin wants to make people sick and kill them by taking their healthcare away from them.  Just a disclaimer, I am one of those people that is registered for health insurance via KYNECT.  They are already spreading fear about the state's pension program and Bevin's ideas about switching the state's pension program over to 401K type programs.  People are already exclaiming that Bevin hates police, fire, and ems.  This of course is a complete joke because Bevin is a Veteran and I havent ran across many if at all any veterans that dislike our Police, Fire, and EMS.

No doubt the election last night sent shock waves and messages to the political establishment throughout the state.  However I think many are over exaggerating changes that are perceived.  Matt Bevin might have promised a lot of things to get elected however, if I were a betting man, I would say that more than half of the changes he said he would make wont even be considered, and the other half would be spread out over the next 4 years.  I guaranty you that he is already considering being re-elected in 2019.

Ill close with how I spent my evening last night.  I chose to attend the post election party that Fark.com founder and CEO Independent Drew Curtis had in Lexington last night.  It was fun with beer and good people just having a good ol time.

League of Women Voters of Kentucky Excludes Drew Curtis From Kentucky Governor Debate

The evening of October 25th 2015 on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University featured an event where Democratic Candidate Jack Conway and Republican Candidate Matt Bevin squared off on stage in a debate for Kentucky Governor general election.  The only problem is that Drew Curtis, fark.com creator, and independent candidate was not allowed on stage even though he is a legal candidate for office and will appear on the ballot November 3rd when the citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky will elect their next Governor among other offices up for grabs.  The organization that arranged this debate was none other than the League of Women Voters of Kentucky.  The watch dog group that is supposed to watch out for unfair voting practices and champion fairness in democratic elections chose to exclude Drew Curtis on the basis that he did not achieve a polling threshold of 10% prior to the debate.  This of course is questionable considering a poll conducted from October 14th-15th by Fabrizio, Lee & Associates showed that Drew Curtis polled at 11%.  Below is the link from that poll.

http://www.mattbevin.com/survey?utm_campaign=poll_tied&utm_medium=email&utm_source=mb4kentucky

However this is a moot argument considering that this debate was held on public property funded by the state and has a responsibility of being fair, non-partisan, and applicable to all election laws.  Excluding a candidate that has followed the KRS to the letter to appear on the ballot based on arbitrary "Debate/Forum" policies set by a non-profit organization is abhorrent to a fair Democratic election.  Below is a letter that I have sent to both of my representatives in Frankfort.

"I am a constituent from Estill County, Kentucky.  I am writing you today to request that you consider the attached email below.  As a concerned citizen of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, I am coming to you to ask that you work with your colleagues in Frankfort to draft and pass legislation regarding the fairness of not only ballot access for third party candidates, but fairness in public debates.  Currently for some offices, the KRS mandates that third party candidates acquire five thousand signatures in order to appear on ballots.  Republican and Democrat candidates only require two signatures.  This is a very discriminatory law that must be rectified.  The substance of my writing you today however has to do with the October 25th Kentucky Governor debate that was held on Eastern Kentucky University's campus.  This was a debate organized by the League of Women Voters of Kentucky.  This Debate only had the Democratic Candidate Jack Conway and Republican Candidate Matt Bevin.  The debate excluded Independent candidate Drew Curtis on the grounds that their "Debate/Forum policy" required that a candidate poll at least 10%.  In a poll conducted by Fabrizio, Lee & Associates conducted on October 14th-15th showed that Drew Curtis polled at 11%.

http://www.mattbevin.com/survey?utm_campaign=poll_tied&utm_medium=email&utm_source=mb4kentucky

However, I find that to be a moot point considering that the debate for the state's highest office  was held on PUBLIC property that operates on PUBLIC funding through the state.  I am asking that you champion my concerns in Frankfort to ensure a more fair Democratic election process.  I am asking that the KRS be amended to prohibit such arbitrary exclusionary rules from being executed by organizations arranging public debates because the citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky deserve to hear each candidate that legally appears on the ballot. I would be more than happy to meet with you to discuss this matter further.

Thank You,
Virgil Edwards"

Would you join me in demanding a more fair democratic voting process for all including third party candidates so that we can finally bring an end to the two party paradigm that continues to produce debt, waste, and usurpation of rights and wealth from WE THE PEOPLE?

#EKU Allowing Terrorists to Get What They Want By Closing Campus

Back in February, EKU discovered a threat written on a bathroom stall door and their response was to allow all students and faculty to miss on that particular day if they felt unsafe being on campus.  I said it back then that all this response would lead to is encouraging further terrorist threats in the future.  Fast forward to October 5th 2015....This was discovered on a bathroom wall in the Powell building on EKU's campus.

When this was announced to students on Monday October 5th, all I could remember was thinking back to February and how EKU's response led to a marked decrease of students on campus on the day the threat was supposed to be carried out.  I couldnt believe the response then and I didnt think it would get worse...I WAS WRONG...

Today October 7th... Students were greeted with announcements that EKU was closing all campuses today starting at 10:00 AM and to be closed October 8th and 9th.  The following is an announcement from EKU President Michael Benson.

"Dear Campus Community:

When you choose to learn or work at this university, you become part of the EKU family.  This week I have asked each of you to look out for each other and work together following a disturbing threat of violence on our campus.  My sincere thanks for the solidarity you have demonstrated, and the genuine care and concern many of you have expressed for your fellow Colonels.

To allow law enforcement to conduct a thorough investigation of the continuing threat and ensure the safety of our campus community, classes at all EKU campuses were canceled today beginning at 10:00 am; and the University will be closed Thursday, October 8 – Friday, October 9.  We will resume full campus operations following Fall Break on Wednesday, October 14.

As we make this adjustment to our operations, I ask for your continued patience and cooperation.  I ask employees to complete the workday today to prepare for providing essential campus services the remainder of the week. More information will be forthcoming on employee responsibilities and assignments.

Our primary goals in assessing this situation are limiting any safety risks and avoiding disruption to learning and teaching. While we are confident the responding team of law enforcement agencies has kept a watchful eye over our community and is diligently investigating the threat, it has become clear this incident continues to be unsettling to a number of our students, faculty and staff.

Understandably, this modification to our academic schedule will raise many questions.  In addition to our regular communications, we will continue to post updates on campus services and events athttp://police.eku.edu/public-safety-alert-updates.

We must continue to look out for each other and strive to create and maintain a safe environment where faculty can teach, staff can serve, and students can learn.

Thank you for your continued diligence.  As with challenges in the past, this one will be met and we will move forward – together – in the coming weeks and months.

Yours sincerely,

Michael Benson"

What is particularly disturbing about all of this is the fact that Students over the age of 21 are prohibited from conceal carrying on campus even though they possess Kentucky's CCDW permit.  Also they cancel classes but they have chosen not to cancel other events going on campus like the Football game on October 8th.  Of course it should be noted that this entire week is mid-term week with most students having exams.  What is also of note is that EKU is on fall break October 12th and 13th next week..  This announcement today effectively gives students a fall break from October 7th to October 13th..

This response will be seen to the Terrorist that wrote the threat as a sign of victory for themselves and a sign of weakness on the part of EKU.  This will undoubtedly fuel future events like this perhaps allowing those that write the threats to become even more bold and more threatening.. Maybe EKU will respond with calling off an entire week of classes next time.  But one thing is for certain, Students are getting the shaft with this ordeal, academically, constitutionally, and financially as these incidents have caused tens of thousands of dollars to be spent responding to the threats which students no doubt will be made to pay for in the future,

****** UPDATE*******
EKU's Football game originally at home on Thursday has been moved to Georgetown....
Center For the Arts Events have been cancelled.....

This Fat Man says It is NOT Ok to be Morbidly Obese!

I just want to say up front that I don't aim to offend with what I'm going to say..

This is me...This is my body...I am not proud of it, nor am I ashamed...

You will not see me making disparaging comments or putting up a front about how others should just keep their mouth shut about how big I am...

I will not be this big for very much longer...after December 15th, I will be on a path to dropping this weight in a fairly short amount of time...

I do this not because of what others say or think...but because I know I'm not healthy now and no one in a similar shape is...

I want to live longer than I would now...I want to be able to do more than I do now...

I will not say its okay to be in the shape that I am now...just thought I would share because I've seen far too much on social media about how morbid obesity should be accepted and I find it to be ridiculous to encourage people to not be a healthier person.

American Culture: Its Worth Preserving.

Its painful to see that we as the people of the United States of America are not allowed to value, celebrate our own obvious and unique culture of exceptionalism because an extreme minority in this country considers it racist, bigoted, undeserving..... Let me destroy each of those claims...

Racist:
Every culture is founded on tradition of its past of what has worked for the people of that particular area whether it be a culture of war, a culture of trade, or a culture of isolation.  But the common theme among all cultures is that they all are founded by people of like minded, like skinned.. There is nothing racist about a culture wanting self preservation even if that means a natural desire of a white man/woman, a black man/woman, or a brown man/woman choosing to value their own.

Bigoted:
Every culture wishes to maintain the status quo.  Every culture how ever advanced and how ever changed through time, seeks to ultimately hold on to what they consider their heritage.  Respect must be given if Respect is to be received.  Bashing Americans for wanting to keep the United States about the US Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Apple Pie, blemishes of our past not withstanding, every culture has scares from their past and skeletons in their closet and has no moral high ground to look upon another culture with a turned up nose or with snub noses.

Undeserving:
The United States of America is less than 300 years old.. But what other country on the face of planet Earth can anyone think of that has brought to the rest of the world so many status quo changing, life altering, and just flat out advances in human civilization?  Imagine life without the assembly line?  The Automobile?  Flight?  Healthcare Advances?  Imagine a world that never saw the King of England humiliated and defeated!  Imagine a world that never saw the Declaration of Independence, and the subsequent Constitution of the United States of America..  We tore ourselves in two to destroy the culture of slavery when many nations in 2015 still deploy the practice.

Are we a perfect nation?  Of course not, we are imperfect human beings.  Are we racist for wanting to keep American Culture? Absolutely not.  Are we bigoted for wanting to keep other cultures out and demanding assimilation?  Absolutely not.  Is America Undeserving of being proud of its Culture and the many ways we have been exceptional?  HELL NO!

2015 Kentucky Governor General Election Q&A

Back in May, I put up a Kentucky Governor Primary Election Q&A post for the benefit of the voters of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  All GOP and Democratic Party candidates were solicited and invited to participate by answering the same set of questions and have their responses side by side posted in a single post so that people still undecided can have an opportunity to see what their answers to non mainstream media sponsored questions were.  Unfortunately none of the GOP candidates nor the Democratic party candidates responded...However, Independent candidate Drew Curtis, Fark.com Creator out of Lexington saw my impassioned pleas for participation on social media and decided that he would participate even though my initial attempts did not include him..

The Same Invitation to participate in this blog post was again offered to GOP candidate Matt Bevin, Democratic Party candidate Jack Conway, and Independent candidate Drew Curtis.. Deja vu, Drew Curtis was the only candidate to respond with his answers to questions asked.  Without further ado...Here are Drew Curtis's answers to once again non mainstream media questions from a common man like me.  Please Enjoy and share this with your friends and family on Social Media.

1) As the State of Kentucky continues to see problems with drugs such as heroin continuing to claim lives and create headaches for law enforcement, many claim that the "War on Drugs" is to blame, many claim
that we arent spending enough on enforcement, what do you see as the solution?

"This is without a doubt one of the most difficult problems facing Kentucky.  If it were easy to fix we'd have a solution already.

I'm still exploring this issue but so far I'm considering solutions along the following lines:

- Massachusetts is working on a pilot program to work on a similar problem in their state, I'm keeping an eye on how well it works but I'm hopeful.

- Decriminalizing addiction.  I realize this is vague statement but we need to reach addicts in order for them to receive treatment, we should not treat them as criminals"

2) The Commonwealth of Kentucky for its entire existence has always seen the eastern part of the state particularly the south east portion typically known as the coal fields of Kentucky wrought with poor economic conditions even during the height of the coal industry, do you see more government or less government intervention as a solution here and what do you have planned to ease burdens in this part of the state?

"Eastern Kentucky is hungry for technology.  As the only candidate for Governor who has personally built broadband networks and is a computer programer, I am intimately familiar with technology.  Eastern Kentucky shares a similar geographic profile to Boulder Colorado - however turning communities into tech hubs requires more than just running broadband out to them (although it is a good start).

I am a strong proponent of less direct government intervention - I would prefer the private sector provide and implement solutions.  Government should assist when and where it is needed.  "

3) During the last 12 months, the nation has seen attacks on our Law Enforcement over the incidents in Ferguson, Missouri Baltimore, Maryland, and in New York.  As Governor and chief executor of laws in this state, what will you do to ensure that moral and support stay high with local and state police?

"I don't have any solutions at hand for this but I would like to ensure moral and support for law enforcement.  I welcome anyone who has working implementations to contact me so we can take a look together"

4) People believe that the Governor should be viewed as any other elected position as a servant to the people.  Do you believe that the Governor should be holding more local public meetings with the people so that they can be given their voice for him to hear?

"Yes - strongly.  Although this can be accelerated by being more open online as well.  As an Independent Governor I will have an open door policy.  Ideas from both parties are welcome. "

5) Education costs in this state continues to rise along with other schools in every state in this country.  What will you do as Governor to lead on suppressing that rise in cost?

"I do not have a solution for this at this time.  However there is no additional money available for anything.  I am asked often if I support free community college tuition and pre-K education.  The answer is yes but Kentucky doesn't have the ability to finance either of those for the forseable future.  Leadership from both parties has left Kentucky's finances in shambles.  The only news here that is relevant to the question asked is that money isn't available to increase spending. "

6) The 10th Amendment to the US Constitution reads. "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the
people."  What will you do as Governor to ensure that the Federal Government doesn't continue to encroach on the rights of the people of the Commonwealth?

"This is actually somewhat complicated depending on what we're talking about.  Let's examine a few examples:

- Laws preventing gay marriage were ruled unconstitutional.  This means all laws state and federal were thrown out.  State laws cannot mandate something that has been declared unconstitutional.  As a result, county clerks must issue marriage licenses.

- When state and federal laws conflict, a state official must defend the state law against the federal law.  Currently state law allows the growing of hemp.  Federal law says growing hemp is illegal.  If push comes to shove, a Governor must fight to preserve the law that allows hemp to be grown.  Period.

- Acquiescing to a federal law or mandate does not relinquish the right to go against it later.  The EPA has mandated new regulations on emissions to be met by 2030 (along with a billion dollars in investment in Appalachia which I strongly approve of).  Currently it appears that Kentucky is going to easily be in compliance with this mandate.  However, our agreement to comply - for now - with Federal guidelines does not mean that we will always choose to continue to comply in the future should things change down the road.   We are not giving up our right to challenge EPA guidelines in the future."

7) With so much on the plate of Law Enforcement in the state, what do you consider to be priority in order to maximize the effiency of the Law Enforcement and ensure maximum freedom and liberty for the citizens?

"I am open to suggestions on how to implement this from both Law Enforcement and the public.  As luck would have it, everyone wants an effective and efficient law enforcement.  Given that we have a common goal, I believe we stand a good chance to make improvements everyone will like."

14 Years Ago.....

14 years ago today.. I was a resident of Keene Hall on EKU's campus... I had woken up that day and heard of a plane crash in NYC... It was just a normal day for me...Grudgingly getting up...Getting a shower and then going to my first class..But clearly by the time I got there... Chaos had broken out on Manhattan Island..  Still not knowing quite what happened, I seen students acting hysterically crying....talking really fast....Just visibly disturbed over something...My first class was in a computer lab and no one was actually doing classwork but everyone was on different websites looking at what was going on...Not even the instructor was interested in teaching... Finally an announcement was made that all students would be excused from attending anymore classes for the rest of the day.  After learning about what had actually happened with the Twin Towers with the Pentagon and in that Pennsylvania Field... I felt just numb I guess...I really didn't feel scared per say...But I felt just empty because whether it was because I was an Army brat growing up or because of some instinct....I knew that things were going to change and it wasn't going to be for the better.  I WAS RIGHT!!!

#September11th Eve Thoughts

On this eve of the 14th Anniversary of the 9/11 Attacks.. I have some thoughts..Im sure there will be those that agree and disagree alike.

I am left with the question of, When is enough going to be enough?.. How many more of our finest men and women in our Military need to die, come home maimed, and forever altered before we decide that we have gotten our so called "revenge" for the attack 14 years ago...

I am left with the question of, When is enough going to be enough?... How many more of our constitutional civil rights are we going to have to forfeit in order to feel "safe"...to feel "protected"....to feel "secure".....

I am left with the question of, When is enough going to be enough?... How much more debt do we need to pile on before we understand that we are following the path of the former USSR..of Rome...That global military occupation and imperialism has brought down once great nations and brings unattended consequences to be paid later down the road....

I am left with the question of. When is enough going to be enough?... How many more US House of Representatives, Senators, and Presidents are we going to elect before we understand that electing the same people and the same type of politicians over and over will not allow us to properly move on from the events of that horrible day 14 years ago...

We continue to lose more of our soldiers, we continue to lose more of our constitutional rights....we continue to go into debt....and we continue elect the same fear mongering war hawk type politicians....

WHEN WILL ENOUGH BE ENOUGH???

Did #RandPaul's Hometown #GOP Party Just Try To Torpedo His Campaign?

This goes beyond ridiculousness in politics today.  Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, a Republican, running for office has just been attacked by Scott Lasley who heads the Warren County Kentucky GOP.  Warren County is where Senator Paul resides today in Bowling Green, Kentucky.  The attack?  Its over 200,000 dollars that was meant to be transferred from Senator Paul to the Kentucky GOP to pay for making the GOP in the state a caucus state in 2016 versus a primary state.  This is being setup so that Senator Paul can still run for office of the Presidency and the Senate in Kentucky..Current State law prohibits candidates from appearing more than once on the same ballot.  In an article in the Lexington Herald Leader link listed below

http://www.kentucky.com/2015/08/18/3994360_despite-telling-republicans-otherwise.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&rh=1

Written by Sam Youngman, Scott Lasley states "seems to be creating some confusion" in reference to the Rand Paul mailer that had gone out to voters.  Lasley also stated "As of last Friday, it was my understanding that the money had not yet been transferred."

This causes me to take to twitter over the last couple of days to ask Scott Lasley and the Warren County GOP if they are purposely trying to torpedo Rand's campaign?  The Kentucky GOP knew that any money that was to come from Senator Paul was contingent on the party passing caucus rules so that he could run for both offices in Kentucky.  As of this blog posting...They had not.  It should be noted that neither Lasley nor the Warren County GOP have responded to my multiple requests for explanations on twitter.

The #GOP Trump Factor

Ever since joining the GOP Race for the Presidency, Donald J Trump has been toward the top...Then at the Top of the polls... His obvious controversial comments about Illegal Immigrants has obviously struck a favorable chord with those in the Republican Party.  Of course then came the circus freak show that was the first GOP debate in Cleveland Ohio by FoxNews.  The unusual back and forth tension between Donald Trump and Megyn Kelly only served to invalidate the entire debate.  The events that occurred after the Debate only served to thus far thrust the GOP race into the tabloid reality TV realm.  Whether it was Trump's perceived comments about blood coming out of Megyn's wherever or whether it was Erick Erickson's revoking Trump's invite to the RedState gathering of 2015, or the Rosie O'Donnell spat about smearing period blood in people's faces.. Take your pick...All of these events have simply made for great entertainment television, but not good politics.  Of course does all of the times Trump has sided with the Democrats matter?  Does all the times Trump admitted to buying access to politicians for personal financial gain matter?  Does all the times that Trump took up leftist positions on Abortion, Guns, Healthcare, Taxes, matter?  Does all the times that Trump has switched parties matter?  It should... But what we have seen from those I have personally labeled as "Trump Humpers" is nothing short of a pure repeat of what we saw during both of Obama's campaigns for the presidency..Pure unadulterated blind devotion with a side of vile hateful often racist behavior.  Their desire for victory has clearly overshadowed their conservative values and can only be described as putting their Emotions over their Intelligence.. Of course this is only one step above Obama supporters which only have Emotions...

Then on the other side of the spectrum, you have the GOP Establishment pundits like George Will on Fox News telling people that Trump Supporters should join the rest of the GOP on the terms of the establishment...Not theirs... Of course this does absolutely nothing but make people support Trump even more.  Every time that someone of notoriety comes out and publicly attacks Trump, He retorts with something to the affect of they are Stupid or they are slobs or they have no chance..  and his fan base eats it up with the fervor not seen since the height of Hitler's rise in Germany.  Trump could cut the heads off of puppies and his fan base would cheer and take to social media with him holding the decapitated head declaring that he would be the leader that changes DC.  Ann Coulter took to twitter declaring that she didn't care if Trump allowed abortions as long as he took to task his "Immigration Reform".  This is precisely the sort of sycophant behavior that must not be allowed to continue to have influence in this race.

To Attack Trump or Not to Attack Trump....That my friends is the question... Many of Trump's beleaguered followers believe that Rand Paul has sunk in the polls as a result of his attacks on Trump at the Debate and afterward.  Simultaneously, they also believe that Ted Cruz's rise in the polls are a result of his refusal to attack Trump.  This in my humblest of opinions is hogwash because Rand Paul's numbers began to mysteriously drop after he came forward with his 14.5% Fair and Flat Tax plan.  It wasnt because his plan was bad...It was because his plan was bad for the special interests that are best served by politicians that are easily bought and sold that influence those polling organizations.  Both Trump and FoxNews released polling graphics of the first Iowa poll post Debate conducted by the CNN/ORC and they showed Rand Paul with 5%.....But They chose instead to show Jeb Bush who only polled at 4%.  This is nothing new to Fox News because they did the exact same thing to Rand's father Ron when he ran in 2008 and 2012.

In conclusion, This GOP Race has been a complete disgrace thus far.  As long as Donald Trump remains in the race, it will continue to be a complete disgrace.  If you believe that Fox News hates Donald Trump, then I have some ocean front property in Arizona to sell.

The #GOP "Infighting" and Why It Must Go On!

In recent weeks since Donald J Trump announced that he was running for President, he has made controversial comments about Illegal Immigrants and most recently about Arizona Senator John McCain.  There is no shortage of opinions both favoring and disapproving of Trump's comments.  The common theme to come out of this is pleas on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook for the GOP to stop the "Infighting" and to unite against the Democratic Party and its agenda.  We saw this plea in both the 2008 Presidential race that saw the GOP nominate Arizona Senator John McCain, and even more so in the 2012 Presidential race in which Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney was handed the nomination.  Of course the GOP lost both of these Presidential Elections to Democrat Barack Obama.  Both years featured pushes by what is known today as the Tea Party.  Both years the GOP pleaded with the Tea Party to stop the "infighting".  Many in the GOP still feel that these two individuals still represent the finest conservatives in the party.  Many more however feel that these candidates of the the past represented moderate republican/democratic-lite positions which led to the lack of voter turn out in 2008 and 2012.

Infighting in my humblest opinion is precisely what the GOP needs if it ever hopes to carve out a real identity for its self in a toxic political atmosphere which people increasingly believe that both political parties are complicit and in cahoots with one another to continue to divide the masses on issues like Abortion, Gay Marriage, Illegal Immigration, Healthcare, etc.  It is without little doubt that the Republican Party of today simply does not represent Conservatives that value our US Constitution.  Americans (myself included) are fed up with the theatrics that play out over the Mainstream Media outlets like Fox News and CNN and MSNBC that portray Democratic Party members disagreeing with Republican Party members but when the votes are counted and one bad law/bill after the other is passed in both houses of congress and signed into law by our President, it shows that they are more in agreement than not.  18 Trillion Dollars of Debt shows that there is no problem with the two parties wasting our tax dollars and spending more than it takes in.

Political races in this nation have always brought out the worst in people.  Even before TV and the Internet, Politicians used newspapers and local leaflets were used to spread negative views of  their opponents.  Even today politicians still pretend to be outraged when their competition reveals something publicly from their past that is either a lie or an inconvenient truth.  The cries for the "infighting" to end is merely nothing more but an attempt to silence dissent from those who are like me tired of the establishment.  It would be as foolish to stop the infighting today as it was in 2008 and 2012.  It would be like telling John Calipari to stop recruiting the best players in the nation and expecting UK Basketball to remain the pinnacle of College Basketball.  Choosing a nominee to represent your political party for the seat of the presidency should not be easy.  This period of time is not the time for unity, its a time for war......May the best Man or Woman prevail!

The #GOP's Addiction to Liberal Traps.

Today South Carolina's Governor Nikki Haley signed a bill calling for the removal of the Confederate Flag from State Grounds.. This is the State's best shot at reacting to the killing of 9 Christians in their church in Charleston last month.  This will undoubtedly have liberals laughing all the way to the polls.  Instead of attacking the real cause of this tragedy which is mental illness and laws discouraging gun ownership, they attacked a flag and the GOP are patting themselves on the back.  They are going around proclaiming that they have removed a symbol of hate and enslavement.  They are going around pretending that they have actually accomplished something positive.  Already people are planning future political campaign commercials around this proclaiming that a republican controlled legislature and executive branch are tone deaf to the issues at hand.  They will say that removing a flag was their best shot. (And they would not be wrong).

In other news, the GOP are attacking Donald Trump's comments on Illegal Immigration.  They are playing the "Im offended" card leaving liberals once again laughing all the way to the polls.  Reince Priebus once again is showing his affinity to lead from a position of weakness by trying to get Donald to tone down the rhetoric.  Illegal Immigration is a problem.  Its a problem that has spread disease, rape, death, and fiscal destruction across many states and in the federal government.  "Sanctuary Cities" are popping up and nothing is being done to stop them but Trump's comments are the problem?? Come on! Whether you like or dislike Donald Trump is irrelevant.  It is undeniable his comments ring truth especially in light of the death of people like Kate Steinle,  But yet again the GOP continues to fall right into the Politically Correct traps set forth by the Liberals and their agenda.

Of course these are just the latest traps that the Liberal agenda has set which the GOP has fallen victim to. Others include HR 83 from last year, TPP/TPA, USA Freedom Act, etc.

The Great #Democratic Party Fraud of the Last 50 Years!

One of the biggest political ideological frauds perpetrated over the last 50 years is that after the passage of the Civil Rights Acts by a Republican Congress, it is claimed that racists in the Democratic Party switched to being Republicans.  This of course is historical white washing as very few in the Democratic Party actually switched parties.  Today Democratic party members and their sycophantic supporters perpetuate the lie that they are the party of Civil Rights.  They claim that their party protects minorities to include Blacks, Women, etc.  They claim that they are the party of tolerance, of equality, of love.  What they are doing is with every act attempt to not only re-write history to erase any and all instances (Which are many) of where their party was responsible for supporting human rights violations.

Lets revisit some of these shall we?  It was a Democratic President that was responsible for what is known as the "Trail of Tears".  You know the order to move all Cherokee Indians from the South East to West of the Mississippi River.  The order that caused hundreds of deaths mainly women and children and the elderly that were not strong enough to survive the journey.  I can certainly understand why the Democratic Party and their sycophants would love to erase that from the history books.  Then there is the KKK.  You know that fun loving bunch of Democrats that didn't like the fact that they no longer could rely on slave labor and keep the black man/woman from integrating into what they considered THEIR society.  Yes that group of people that donned white sheets over their heads and burned crosses and assaulted/killed black people whenever they could.  Yes the very same KKK which Democrats today claim is a Republican Establishment even though they can't find one prominent Republican in their ranks and conveniently forget that Senator Robert Byrd A DEMOCRAT, was a proud member before dying in 2010!  Yes Democratic Party would love to absolve themselves of that bit of history.  Then there are the Jim Crow laws instituted by the Democrats in the South after the Civil War to discourage Black people from participating in society.  This too seems to be a bit of history that the Democratic Party would like for you to forget about.  How about the filibuster of Civil Rights Acts by James Strom Thurmond?  Yes Thurmond was a Democrat when he attempted for 24 hours and 18 minutes to stop the very bill that Democrats today say they were the champions of.  Now Thurmond actually did make the switch to the GOP in 1964.  Democrats during these times were all about enforcing the law even when the law was to keep Black people out of White Schools, out of the voting booths.  They were all about punishing those who would march in defiance and practicing civil disobedience.  It was Democratic President Lyndon B Johnson that said "Ill have those ni&&ers voting Democratic for the next 200 years" That took place in the 70s well after the supposed time when racist democrats switched parties.

So what has changed about the Democratic Party in 2015?  The answer is VERY LITTLE.  They are still the party of Racism.  Everything is about race to them.  Their insistence on portraying the Black man/woman as weak, as incompetent, as docile is every bit as harmful if not more harmful than when their ancestors beat them and enslaved them.  Their insistence on keeping segments of the population on government welfare and other handouts are perfect examples of how they don't want people to be independent.   It is the Democratic Party today that tells Blacks and Latin minorities that they are victims if they are to be made to provide proof of identification in order to cast a vote.  Every single metropolitan area ran by Democratic Mayors have the highest rates of Black on Black Murder/crime.  It is Democratic strong holds like Baltimore that see "leaders" condoning and at times even encouraging the social decline of youth.  "Give them room to loot, its just property"  YES these words were uttered by the Democratic Mayor of Baltimore.  Just look at the Confederate Flag nonsense today. After 9 Christians were killed by a racist in their own church in Charleston S.C. it was discovered that the killer, Dylann Storm Roof, was pictured holding a Confederate battle flag.  Since Charleston decided not to riot, loot, and destroy their own community, controversy in the form of attacking the Confederate Battle Flag was started.  It was a flag that Democrats in the south raised during the civil war, but try to white wash history by claiming that it is a flag loved by conservative republicans. Yet another one of their lies when they cannot pass off civil rights atrocities is to claim that it was Conservatives of the Democratic party that were responsible for them and that they are all now Republicans today.

After the decision by the Supreme Court to force Gay Marriage as law in all 50 states, it is predictable that Conservatives across the country would choose to resist by either ending all marriage licenses or to simply refuse to assign gay couples marriage licenses.  This non violent act of resistance otherwise known as civil disobedience is once again being attacked by, you guessed it, DEMOCRATS.  Their insistence on using man's law to be their moral compass once again compels them to lash out and demand punishment for those who dare to disobey a law.  The Liberal Gay Militants are even angrier today than they were prior to this decision.  I am reminded of a school of piranha fish that feverishly attack once they gain any measure of victory over their opponent.  The amount of hate and vitriol handed out on social media and by sycophantic media/celebrities over the last week in the "LoveWins" nonsense has the exact same stench and fervor that could arguably be compared to how the Democrats of the 1860s and beyond felt when they could no longer hold the Black man/woman down in bondage.  Ill close with an image of fine tolerant loving caring Democratic Gay Activists when they visited the White House.  Ill let you decide if today's Democrats live up to their attempted hype, or if they are just as deviant and as dangerous to the moral fiber of American society today as they were at their creation.

Why You Shouldn't Vote For #RandPaul

I thought I would provide a short guide for deciding if you should support and vote for Rand Paul if you are still on the fence about the US Senator from Kentucky.
If you oppose Congress formally declaring war on our enemies as Article I Section 8 of the US Constitution says, then you should not vote for Rand Paul.

If you oppose Republicans reaching out to Democrat strongholds and spreading the value of liberty and constitutional adherence to inner cities and youth, then you should not vote for Rand Paul.

If you oppose Congress actually reading the bills they vote on and allowing the public to read the bills in full before they are actually voted on into law, then you should not vote for Rand Paul.

If you oppose Government allowing you the individual to decide what is best for you to consume and partake in as far as illicit substances are concerned, then you should not vote for Rand Paul.

If you oppose ensuring that our borders are secure, then you should not vote for Rand Paul.
If you oppose efforts to end Domestic Warrant-less spying on American Citizens, then you should not vote for Rand Paul.

If you oppose efforts to end Unconstitutional Indefinite Detention of Americans, then you should not vote for Rand Paul.

If you support Congress giving up more and more of their Constitutional Power to the Executive Branch, then you should not vote for Rand Paul.

If you support special interest groups financially benefiting from the blood of our American Soldiers fighting overseas, then you should not vote for Rand Paul.

If you support continuing to allow non-violent offenders to be kept from voting, then you should not vote for Rand Paul.

If you support mandatory minimums for non violent drug offenses that often are longer than murder and rape offenses, then you should not vote for Rand Paul.

If you support the continued devaluation of our American Dollar through endless Federal Reserve QE's and artificially low interest rates, then you should not vote for Rand Paul.

If you support giving up Civil Liberties for Security, then you should not vote for Rand Paul.

As the race to the November 2016 election for President continues, it is becoming clearer by the day who is in the GOP race as a defender of the US Constitution, and who is in it for power and establishment acceptance.  It is becoming clearer who truly has the people's back.  More importantly, with the ever growing presence of social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc. it is becoming clearer how we have come to the point in our nation with politicians that have become completely disconnected from the US Constitution, and that is because many Americans have become disconnected from the US Constitution.

#GOP's Political Suicide Attempts

Republicans nationwide had much to celebrate on November 5th of last year when the GOP retook majority of the US Senate and added more seats in control of the US House of Representatives.  It is generally understood that contributing factors to this change in control was due to the continued decline in support for President Obama and the Democrats.  It was also due to the promises made by many of the GOP republican candidates of attempting to repeal Obamacare, oppose amnesty for millions of illegal aliens, and to halt President Obama's agenda in general.  The victories were viewed as essentially the death nail in President Obama's administration.  Pundits for days after the elections were already proclaiming that President Obama would be a lame duck president for the rest of his second term.  THEY COULDN'T BE MORE WRONG!

It wasn't even two months after the elections that the nation witnessed US Speaker of the House John Boehner lead the GOP controlled House to passing HR 83 which was the massive Omnibus spending bill that funded most of the federal government and its operations thru September of 2015.  This bill included funding for what would become President Obama's illegal unconstitutional executive amnesty.  It would also include funding for many Big Government Liberal approved programs.  You can find more about it here.. http://heritageaction.com/key-votes/cromnibus-blank-check-amnesty-h-r-83-2/

This unfortunately would mark only the first of many acts by the GOP over the next few months that would lead one to believe that it is trying to kill itself,  The new year would come around and predictably the US Senate now controlled by Republicans would make Mitch McConnell its majority leader.  This is now being seen as the second act in the free for all that is now the GOP.  Mitch McConnell promised that the US Senate would get back to work for the people and promised that there would be debate on bills.  This was obviously a jab at former senate majority leader and Democrat Harry Reid who became notorious for not allowing votes on popular GOP passed bills coming from the US House in enacting what is known as the Nuclear Option.  It certainly did not take long before the US Senate would be tested.

The US House in its third act of defiance of the will of the People and of the Constitution was to pass thru its chamber the USA Freedom Act which lets be honest, its just a 2015 version of the Patriot Act which has provisions that shift bulk data collecting from the NSA to the Private Industry and changes nothing to keep the Government from placing the name "Verizon" on a search warrant to gain access to MILLIONS of innocent American's records. In the fourth act in the GOP's attempt at political suicide, Mitch McConnell declared that he didn't want the USA Freedom Act nor did he want the provisions in the Patriot Act to expire.  In other word, he was just fine with the Domestic Spy Program of the NSA's even though it is now generally accepted that the bulk data collecting of Metadata has not stopped a single Terrorist attack or even led to the capture of any terrorists.  US Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky spearheaded a 10.5 hour filibuster to force the sunset of certain provisions of the Patriot which expired on June 1st.  In the fifth act by the GOP to kill itself, the entire party abandoned Rand Paul during his filibuster, more Democrats came out to speak on behalf of Rand Paul than GOP Senators.. The GOP Senators that did show up and spoke did so in defiance of what Rand Paul was standing for.  They included the likes of Presidential Candidate and Teaparty's Benedict Arnold Senator Ted Cruz and Senator Mike Lee.  They both disagreed with Rand Paul and they touted the same fear mongering line of secret intelligence on terror threats and why the NSA still needs the ability to access the bulk collection of data.  In the GOP's sixth act, the US Senate not only voted to limit debate on the USA Freedom Act that the US House overwhelmingly passed, but then they passed the act themselves overwhelmingly.

The Seventh Act by the GOP to commit political suicide came in the form of what is known as Obamatrade or the TPP/TPA.  This is trade legislation which no one was allowed to read unless they signed a no disclosure agreement and culminated in Paul Ryan essentially pulling out the Nancy Pelosi card she pulled during Obamacare.  "We have to pass it in order to see what is in it."  It should also be noted that Senator Ted Cruz was among many who voted to pass this in the US Senate.  It now lay in the hands of the US House of Representatives which under the leadership of John Boehner is sure to inflict another act of political suicide.

Of course putting what the elected in the GOP has done this year, we must also account for what the GOP Candidates have done to inflict damage to the GOP.  We have Senator Ted Cruz, already mentioned above, has voted for the USA Freedom Act and the Fast Track TPA.  We have former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee telling people that he wished he could have claimed to be trans gendered to get into women's dressing rooms.  We have Dr. Ben Carson telling people that Prisons make people Gay.  We have Jeb Bush wanting to publicly shame unwed mothers, supporting Amnesty, and refusing to see the error with going into Iraq in 2003.  We have Senator Lindsey Graham who has said that there maybe a "rotating first lady" if he is elected.  I mean the list goes on and on and quite frankly too embarrassing to continue....

BAD NEWS IS.....Its just June of 2015..... Just how many more knives will Boehner/McConnell bury in the backs of conservative voters who put them in power in 2011, 2015 respectively?  How many more promises will they break especially as the Supreme Court is set to take on Obamacare once again?  Will the victories achieved on November 4th 2014 be all for nothing?

#LGBT #FairnessOrdinances are Shams and This is Why

For the last several years, June has been deemed "LGBT month".  Now before you go one step further, you should realize that the remainder of my thoughts here are not out of malice for Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, and Trans-gendered people, they are out of grave concern.  You see, Liberals and Big Government supporters have once again successfully divided Americans, this time it isn't about Race whether it be Black versus White or White vs Brown etc., it is about Sexually "Straight People" versus Everybody else.  These big government busy bodies across our country like the case of herpes are spreading their wild fear mongering and their false claims of compassion and their false claims of illegal discrimination.  They claim that if you don't rent to someone or evict someone from YOUR Property because you do not like their chosen lifestyle, that you have wronged them, that you have oppressed them, that you have DISCRIMINATED!  They claim that as an employer, if you don't hire someone or choose to fire someone based on their chosen lifestyle that you have committed an act of hate and that you should be fined and/or jailed over it.  They claim that as a private business owner if you refuse service in part or whole to any people who they deem to be oppressed/held back by the usual "Straight White Christian" that you should be put out of business by the government and that person discriminated against be made obscenely wealthy.

In my state of Kentucky, Midway a city between Georgetown and Frankfort, decided they would be the latest to jump on the "Fair Ordinance" bandwagon.  It is crystal clear that since this is the month of June once again declared LGBT Month that they saw fit to take advantage of the media publicity that they knew they would get by passing a completely unnecessary and completely politically motivated policy that further infringes on the rights of the private property/business owner.  The ordinance passed because there wasn't enough people there with the courage to stand up and say that it is not necessary.  That there is no widespread problem with "discrimination".  There weren't enough people to stand up and say that they are sick and tired of council members/legislators using entire groups of people which by far and large nationwide have never experienced even a single denial of their true constitutional rights to further advance their political ambitions, their political careers.

Supporters of these fad ordinances would immediately accuse you of being a "bigot" if you dared to oppose the ordinances.  Supporters would immediately claim that this is every much a part of the civil rights movement from the 60's.  Supporters would immediately claim that without such ordinance in place that the scarce number of LGBT in Midway would immediately be subject to inhumane behavior and would not receive any protections.  These ordinances are nothing more than another layer of bureaucracy to get in the way of private business/property owners of simply trying to live their lives as they see fit.  It is a bureaucracy that justifies the continued existence of Human Rights Commissions to already beleaguered taxpayers.  It is the direct contradiction of what it truly means to treat people equally and allow people freedom of choice.  It is a direct contradiction of what it means to truly be a free American in 2015. It is also a slap in the face of every single individual claiming LGBT that simply want to be left alone to be able to find their own place and people in society.

Not in the Bill of Rights, not in the entire US Constitution will you see any mention of having a job or renting housing or anything else or having a cake or anything else made by someone else as a federally enshrined Constitutional Right.  These irrational and often sycophantic supporters of these ordinances often rely on dogmas such as portraying their opposition as hateful bigoted micro aggressors.  They often deem it necessary to portray the LGBT as helpless and perpetual victims that need the coercive hand of government to validate them, protect them, redeem them.  They habitually refuse to pay any respect to what these ordinances do to private business/property owners because they are the ones that are not institutionalized to blindly follow the government's will.  They are the ones that often remain a beacon of hope to ALL of the concept of Hard Work, of Loyalty, of FAMILY.

These leeches of American Dreams only care about one and only one thing, and that is GOVERNMENT!  This is yet another one of their divide and conquer strategies to keep people distracted from those who are truly usurping their natural authority, their power over the government, and wealth earned.  YOU must decide for yourself if you are going to continue to fall into the trap set forth by your TRUE OPPRESSORS, or if you are going to stand side by side with the likes of me in demanding that TRUE EQUALITY be respected to the LGBT of our country by allowing them to experience the burdens of society, to find their own, to earn their place, to not be encompassed into a box by people who care nothing for them.  WILL YOU STAND WITH ME!

#GOP The Truth Hurts: Its Time To Admit Faults And Move On!

Today we saw Republican Senator and US Candidate Rand Paul continue to take a stand for the
truth.  Today we saw Rand Paul tell the country that the War Hawks in the Republican Party
HELPED create ISIS to what it is today!  Today we saw the continued repercussions on President Ronald Reagan's Commandment of not saying anything bad about other fellow republicans.  Make no mistake, Senator Paul is a republican running as a republican for the republican nomination.  He has never minced words, told you something just because it sounds good to blow smoke up your rear.   He has never been one to toe the political party line just so that he doesn't rock the boat.

""Graham would say ISIS exists because of people like Rand Paul who said, 'Let's not go into Syria.' What do you say to Lindsey?" said Scarborough.

"I would say it's exactly the opposite. ISIS exists and grew stronger because of the hawks in our party who gave arms indiscriminately, and most of those arms were snatched up by ISIS," said Paul. "These hawks also wanted to bomb Assad, which would have made ISIS's job even easier. They created these people.""

This came from a WeeklyStandard post on their website
http://m.weeklystandard.com/blogs/rand-says-republicans-created-isis_956730.html

Of course if you read the Headline alone and formed an opinion, one would be upset with what Senator Paul had to say.  Of course this headline was crafted in a manner which to generate outrage toward Senator Paul in the wake of his courageous attempts to block any renewal of the Patriot Act which is set to expire on June 1.  Once you actually read and view the video included with the article post, you will actually see that Rand Paul did not say that Republicans created ISIS.  He said that the WAR HAWKS in the Republican party HELPED!!  Not only did he segment those in the party that he believed contributed, but also said that they were just a part of it.  Once taken into context that the discussion revolved around the Republican party and the words WAR HAWKS and HELPED, you see that not only is the headline misleading, but that the outrage displayed on Twitter this morning shows just how ingrained War is to many in the GOP Voting base.  It showed that we still have not learned our lesson about why its important for Congress to Declare War as Article I Section 8 dictates.  We still have not learned our lesson about global militarism even after witnessing the fall of the USSR in the early 90s as a result of them fighting in Afghanistan.  It shows that we are still falling in the trap of Big Government Cronyism.

Whether you believe that going into Iran in 2003 was warranted or not is irrelevant.  What is relevant today is that ISIS is stronger today than ever before.  Emboldened by weapons that the War Hawks gave to the Syrian Rebels which they either submitted to ISIS in cowardice or became turncoats to the cause.  They are emboldened by a weak US President who is unwilling to Declare War on them,(Senator Rand Paul is the only US Senator to actually propose a Declaration of War against ISIS)
Now we see the likes of Governor Jindal of Louisiana taking his Neo-Con stabs at Senator Paul because he wants to impress upon a base that still believes in the narrative that we won Iraq and that Obama gave it back.  Even going as far as to lay claim to the failed 2013 rhetoric that Senator Paul is to the Left of Obama on Foreign Policy.

Republicans need to stop worshiping War.  They need to recognize that the "War on Terror" has been a wholesale dismal failure resulting in the infringement of Constitutional Liberties, in the deaths of THOUSANDS of US Soldiers and innocents overseas, and added to our already crippling debt.  Republicans need to be adults here in the political arena since Democrats for the most part are not interested and admit that Rand Paul is absolutely right.  That continuing the same path promoted by the War Hawks of the Republican AND Democrat Parties is a path which will continue to further embolden and empower ISIS.  GET OVER YOUR FEELINGS!

Oh and one more thing.  Just how many of you bellyaching about what Rand Paul said today were complaining when virtually the entire Party Abandoned Rand Paul during his 10.5 hour filibuster of the Patriot Act renewal?  Just how many of you took to social media and condemned the likes of Ted Cruz, of Mike Lee, of Rep. Peter King, of Lindsay Graham, of John McCain, when they took their turns skewering your Constitutional Rights all in the name of "National Security".  When they told you that you aren't important enough to be told about so called threats to justify the furthered surveillance state.
